About
It all started with a passion for climbing.
About Us
We are two brothers born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. Our passion for tree work began in 2016 in Park City, UT under the guidance of one of the most skilled arborists in the country. We started Summit Arborists with the desire to extend our admiration for tree work to our community. Our mission is to provide safe, efficient, and quality tree services. Our team of ISA certified arborists uses the most reliable techniques and equipment to ensure your job will be done properly and in a timely manner.

Evan Felt
In 2016, when Summit Arborists co-founder Evan Felt took his first job in tree care, he had no idea that he would fall in love with the work. His passion for arboriculture grew and he turned that summer job into a career. Evan participated in a three-year field-based apprenticeship in Utah and worked to expand his formal education. He has completed various certificate programs, including Aerial Rescue and Electrical Hazards Awareness Program through the Tree Care Industry Association.
In 2020, he became a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture. Over the years, Evan improved his skills, working in the tree care industry across the country and even across the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii but settled back in his home state to launch Summit Arborists.
He's won 1st place overall champion of the ISA Chapter Tree Climbing Competition 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Ethan Felt
Ethan Felt is a driven and dedicated arborist and co-owner of Summit Arborists. With over half a decade of experience in the tree care industry and over a decade of experience in heavy equipment operations and mountain maintenance at Snowbird Ski Resort, Ethan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work. He is committed to providing the highest level of care and attention to each tree and property he works on, and is currently working towards becoming a certified arborist.
When he's not working, Ethan can be found skiing in the stunning Wasatch mountains. He brings this same level of energy and determination to his work.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Our comprehensive services encompass tree care, preservation, removal, and emergency response, ensuring the health, safety, and beauty of your property's trees
How often should I have my trees professionally pruned?
The frequency of tree pruning depends on the tree species, its age, and its overall health. In general, most trees benefit from pruning every 2-3 years. However, it's best to consult with our arborists for personalized recommendations based on your specific trees.
What signs indicate that a tree may be diseased or in need of removal?
Signs of a diseased or dying tree include dead branches, extensive leaf loss, fungal growth, bark damage, and a noticeable decline in overall health. Our arborists can assess your tree's condition and recommend appropriate action.
Do you offer emergency tree removal services, and how quickly can you respond?
Yes, we provide 24/7 emergency tree removal services. Our rapid response team is trained to address urgent situations promptly. Response times may vary depending on your location and the severity of the emergency, but we prioritize safety and efficiency.
What is the best time of year to schedule deep root fertilization for my trees?
Deep root fertilization is typically most effective when done in the fall or early spring. During these seasons, trees are preparing for growth or recovery, and the roots can absorb nutrients more efficiently. Our experts can determine the ideal timing based on your tree's specific needs.
How long will my project take?
The duration of your project is variable. Typically, most jobs are completed within a day, although there are instances where certain projects may require up to two days for completion. The specific timeline will depend on the complexity and scope of your project.
